The Butch Lesbian Flag is designed to represent lesbians with a more ‘masculine’ or ‘dominant’ personality, style or identity.

It’s a redesign of the original rainbow flag and the pink lesbian flag which is associated with more ‘femme’ lesbians. The color scheme of blues, purple, grey and white was apparently just designed as a ‘butch makeover’ of the flag.
